Siddhidatri - Day 9 of Navaratri

BY Indu Arora2 min read • October 18, 2026

Be patient as you take one step at a time.

The day of Ma Siddhidatri, the goddess of wish-fulfillment

Meaning: Siddhi means the boons, accomplishments, unusual divine gifts, and victories, and datri means the giver of.

Symbology: A form of Siddhi is Self-grace. Today the Goddess Siddhidatri brings this wisdom that the biggest of the accomplishments is not the ability to walk on water, fly in the air, be untouched by fire, or disappear at will, but to know one's real Self, to be able to have Self-grace. Once we have that, we have it all.

Practice: Be Siddhidatri unto Self. Be kind to your Self, be curious about your own mind, start a self-inquiry and grow.

Mudra: Practice Japa with Japa mala, hands in Japa Mudra (as shown in image) with the Durga Mantra “Om Dum Durgaye Namha” to your contentment, ease, and peace.

Be patient as you take one step at a time.

May the Goddess be with you as she is already within you.
